We are pleased to share Pope Leo XIV's video message for World Mission Sunday 2026, which commemorates the 100th anniversary of World Mission Sunday. This special message is a wonderful opportunity for our faithful to hear directly from the Holy Father as we celebrate this historic milestone and renew our commitment to the Church's missionary mission. The centennial theme is "One in Christ, United in Mission."
Reflecting on his own vocation, Pope Leo XIV shares:
"Looking back on my youth, I can see how the prayers offered to the Lord of the harvest mysteriously helped prepare my heart to hear Jesus' call to follow Him as an Augustinian missionary."
The theme for this year’s Annual Appeal is from Isaiah 40:31,Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” As Catholics, we use our talents and provide our gifts for God’s Glory. One way we vividly do so is by supporting the programs and ministries of the Archdiocesan Annual Appeal. The gifts received through the Appeal support ministries, programs and services at a level that an individual donor or individual parish would not be able to by itself.
